Competitors must notify Sailing Sec before 31st July 2012 which cup they are entering. Refer to SI 21.5
Club Regatta 6-8th July
The clubs main event of the year is upon us already! As usual the weekend fun starts with a race on Friday evening with food in the club after. Saturday morning starts with a pursuit race and afternoon races start at 1400 0n both days. The club will be open for lunches, teas and snacks all the weekend. We will have a BBQ at the club after racing on Saturday and everyone is welcome. Prize giving will be held on Sunday afternoon after racing. The weekends details are in the SCSCRegatta_NoR12, the clubs standard SI’s will apply.

Left over races from the cancelled bouncy castle for sale regatta are this Sunday starting at 10AM followed by a BBQ. If you want to come to the BBQ can you let Gemma know by Thursday with numbers in your party please.

CI Open Dinghy Masters Championship
Friday 29th June – Sunday 1st July 2012
Results
All is set for the inaugural Masters Dinghy Championship to be held over the weekend of 29th June, sailing is on both Saturday and Sunday. Guernsey have been busy entering boats with a Finn, RS400, RS500 and Lasers already entered and booked to travel over for the event. The regatta is open to all classes of dinghy provided both the helm and crew are aged 35 years or more at the time of championship.

We are planning sailing this Bank holiday Tuesday morning, we will be meeting at the club at 11, having a sail then lighting the BBQ. It’s BYO food & booze. Let us know on Facebook that you are coming and for further details.
Jeux des Iles 2012
Congratulations to the Jersey Jeux des Iles Sailing team made up exclusively of St. Catherine’s sailors. The Jeux des Iles has some of Europe’s very best optimist sailors racing so this is a very tough field to be competing in. We were all thrilled when the news came though that David Raimbault had won race 3 and was scoring single digit results, this is first time a Jersey sailor has won a Jeux des Iles race, and a very deserved 8th place overall.
The Jersey team is:
David Raimbault, William Holden, Elana St.George and Georgia Le Marquand.
Commodore’s Cup – Sunday 27th May 2012
At long last summer has arrived and Sunday its going to be a lovely 22° with a perfect force 3 – 4 breeze. The Commodores cup is a chilled out event so if you have not yet been on the water then come on down on Sunday, its going to bouncy castle for sale be a great day out. Lunch will be on offer in the club and tea and cake in the afternoon.
A briefing will be held at 0945, this is your chance to ask questions and find out what’s going on and which way to go when the race starts! Racing will start at 10.00 with two races back to back in the morning. We will break for a light lunch of summer salads, ham and vegetarian option courses followed by cheese and dessert. Back on the water promptly after lunch for a further race in the afternoon followed by tea and cakes.Cakes.
We are looking for volunteers to bring a cake for afternoon tea on Sunday. If you are able to bring a cake please let Alison know.
Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club
This year is the 150th anniversary of the Club’s receipt of the Royal warrant in 1862 and the Inflatable Water Slide Commodore has great pleasure in inviting you to take part in the Grand Sail Past for all types of boats for the evening of the 5th July with the Lt. Governor General Sir John McColl taking the salute as the flotilla navigates between St Aubin’s Fort and the Club.
The event is being sponsored by Aberdeen Asset Management. There will be a prize for the best decorated boat.
