Jeux des Iles 2012

Congratulations to the Jersey Jeux des Iles Sailing team made up exclusively of St. Catherine’s sailors.  The Jeux des Iles has some of Europe’s very best optimist sailors racing so this is a very tough field to be competing in.  We were all thrilled when the news came though that David Raimbault had won race 3 and was scoring single digit results, this is first time a Jersey sailor has won a Jeux des Iles race, and a very deserved 8th place overall.
The Jersey team is:
David Raimbault, William Holden, Elana St.George and Georgia Le Marquand.

Commodore’s Cup – Sunday 27th May 2012

At long last summer has arrived and Sunday its going to be a lovely 22° with a perfect force 3 – 4 breeze.  The Commodores cup is a chilled out event so if you have not yet been on the water then come on down on Sunday,  its going to be a great day out.  Lunch will be on offer in the club and tea and cake in the afternoon.

A briefing will be held at 0945, this is your chance to ask questions and find out what’s going on and which way to go when the race starts! Racing will start at 10.00 with two races back to back in the morning.  We will break for a light lunch of summer salads, ham and vegetarian option courses followed by cheese and dessert.  Back on the water promptly after lunch for a further race in the afternoon followed by tea and cakes.Cakes.

We are looking for volunteers to bring a cake for afternoon tea on Sunday.  If you are able to bring a cake please let Alison know.
