Its the 63rd SCSC annual regatta from this Friday 8th – Sunday 10th July. This is our main event of the year and there is something for everyone so hope to see you there.
There are 13 races in all over the weekend including open handicap, ladies only, his and hers, age group races, pursuit races and many more. The Trophee de Paris is for all our new oppie racing sailors.
We need lots of help over the weekend on RIBS and also in the kitchen. Donations of salads and cakes (and more cakes!) very welcome. House will be very busy keeping us all well fed and watered!
You can sign up to use a club boat from Thursday evening, when a sign-on sheet will be available at the club.
The traditional Sea Sunday service is also taking place on Sunday morning, with a blessing of the boats. The attendees are invited for a cup of tea and cake afterwards in the club house.
Its going to be a busy weekend!
Here is the NOR with all the details SCSC Regatta NoR and please note Amendment 1 2016
Jubilee Regatta – This Weekend
This Sunday is Jubilee Regatta with 3 races and lunch provided by House, what could be a finer way to spend Fathers day! There will be 2 races before lunch, the first starting at 10:00 a.m. As the tide is going out we then plan to moor the boats just off the beach, so something a bit different being organised by our sailing committee. After lunch we are out (via the beach!) for the final race and once that’s complete we’ll be able to get back on the slip….It’s bound to be fun so I hope you make it.
CI Masters – Next Weekend
Next weekend a reminder to all sailors of a certain age (more precisely, 35 and over) that the big event of the calendar is approaching. It’s the chance for us experienced sailors to enjoy friendly competition with our fellow Guernsey masters! So if you plan to sail, but haven’t yet entered, please do so soon. If you enter before the 20th June it works out cheaper!
