We are only 3 weeks away from the largest sailing event in the world on Sunday 18th September, the day the world goes sailing! Come and join in at St Catherine’s Sailing Club, start time 11.00am.

We are planning for another great day with an emphasis on fun and participation, so whether you are a novice or experienced racer

Bart’s Bash has seen more than 45,000 sailors participate at their home clubs in 62 countries across the past 2 years. The event is a great opportunity to raise funds for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Trust, which is focused on encouraging young people to get involved in the wonderful sport of sailing. Donations bouncy castle for sale can be made by each sailor on the website.

Next Sunday morning   (meeting at 10:00 a.m.)  is especially for any juniors that have been training on one of our RYA level 1 – 4 courses this summer.

Lets celebrate that bouncy castle for sale you are learning to sail!

They’ll be some free sailing in club oppis and Pico’s, a  few short races for those that would like to. This is also a great chance for parents to find out more about the club and what the next steps are after your training finishes this summer.

Bronze, Silver & Gold Races
This Thursday 4th heralds the start of a new format for our summer evening races, giving everyone a chance to race and win!
Although the start at 7pm will include all dinghies, we are splitting the results into three fleets.
Gold fleet racers will be experienced sailors and past trophy winners, with the Silver fleet made up of those who have some previous experience of racing.
The Bronze fleet is specifically for novices and first time racers, so come and have a go!
A member of the Sailing Inflatable Water Slide Committee will be on hand from 5pm to give advice and assistance if you need reassurance.

Class Championships 2016
Our annual Class Championship Regatta this Sunday 7th will consist of three races back to back, starting promptly at 10am.
If you sail a popular class of dinghy at the Club, please join in, to race boat for boat and boost the fleet numbers.
A ‘Remnants’ class will also be factored in, using the PY handicap system, so that no-one is left ashore!

Lunch will be an informal bring your own BBQ so please bring your own snorkers,  buns and burgers and grill away!
