Winter Walk – Sunday 3rd February

A free winter walk with Arthur Lamy, meet at the club at 1330, the walk will finish back at the Sailing Club and will last about 1.5 hrs. This walk is suitable for all the family, bring your friends and family along to this fun event and introduce them to our club. This is a great way to socialise, get some fresh air and learn a little about St. Catherine’s in Arthur’s fun and friendly way.  Hot drinks and cakes will be available at the club at the end of the walk and a retiring collection will be made in aid of the Jersey Cancer Trust. Please let us know on facebook or send us an email if you coming.

Dinghy Park Day – Sunday 27th Jan – Working Party Volunteers Needed

Your committee has decided to launch a big “park push”, think of this as our New Year Resolution! Therefore on Sunday 27th Jan (weather permitting..) a team will be putting in more wooden rails for boat bows to rest on and to generally make the park area much more organised. We will also be sorting bouncy castle for sale out the fence in a similar way to the club house side. And will need support clearing rusty old trailers, removing old boats, cutting back the over grown brambles, applying wood treatment to the fence posts and finally digging to free up some more spaces! As you see it’s quite an extensive list for one day!

To achieve all this we need a large group of volunteers, ideally 15-20, already we are about half way there, but to really make the desired impact in one day some more offers of help would be very much appreciated.  The aim is to start work around 10:00 a.m., grab a well deserved lunch break, then finish off by about 3:00 p.m.  It should be good fun and hopefully not too strenuous. If you would like to help, please could you just e-mail Paul at paul.raimbault@jerseymail.co.uk so I can  plan the work and get a reasonable idea of the number of volunteers.  Thank you and happy New Year!
