Rib Launching Party

We would like to invite you to the launching and naming party for our new club training and rescue boat ‘Capita’ on Wednesday 26 June at 6PM at the Club.

Thanks to the fantastic fund raising effort that started at the annual dinner and has included the winter walk, Will’s talk, French evening and the sale of teas, cakes and lunches along with sponsorship from Capita Fiduciary Group that we now have this new addition to our fleet.

We have invited Inflatable Water Slide Capita to visit the club and have a glass or two of bubbly, spray some over the boat and ‘officially’ name her Capita. We would also very much like your company as this has been a joint effort and we would like to thank you too. Drinks and nibbles will be served from 6PM and it would be great to see you.

Commodores Cup & Lunch

The Commodores Cup will be held on Sunday 16 June, three races will be held back to back starting at 1000 followed by Kevin Holden cooking his superb sizzling scallops for lunch along with House Committee accompaniments. As it is Fathers Day the Commodore will also be awarding the following (fiz) prizes:
First Placed Optimist Dad.

Calculated by the best placed Dad with a combined score with his lowest placed child sailing an Optimist.

First Placed Laser Dad – As above but child in a Laser (U18).

First Dad that finishes behind his kids in any class.

First Lady and First Inflatable Water Slide Gentleman without the hindrance of any kids sailing.

First Grand parent that has both a child and grand child sailing.

First two handed Father and Child combo.

You can only win one prize and the Commodore will award the prizes on the day.

The first placed boat overall on handicap will be awarded the Commodores Cup and the best placed Junior will be awarded the Commodores Plate.

What a great way to spend fathers day, do let us know on Facebook or email if you are coming for lunch so that we get enough Scallops in.
