The OOD list is complied from members who took part in a Club event, or whose children took part in a Club event last year. Children over 13 or so, depending on experience, may appear on this list in their own right. The list also includes a number of people who did not take part in Club events last year but have nevertheless offered their help, many thanks, your help is very much appreciated. If there are any more of you out there who are prepared to help please let me know. In general you will have two duties, one Sunday and one Thursday evening. Sailing Committee members have one duty as they are also involved in running regattas.

  • Check if your name is on the list
  • Near the time of your duty contact your partner on list as a reminder. You may wish to enlist additional help especially if it is windy
  • If you are unable to make your allotted date, arrange a swop and let your partner know, you can do this online via Dutyman.
  • No catering is required. If you wish to bring tea and cakes for Sunday afternoon racing I am sure it would be welcomed. You should make a charge to cover your costs
  • Although it is the individuals responsibility to decide to race (ISAF rule 4) as OOD if you feel conditions are inappropriate it is your prerogative to cancel all racing or a particular classes racing
  • Please read the Sailing Instructions. Note that there is now a time limit for races
