Did you know….
That the St. Catherine’s Liberation Day regatta has mechanical bull riding been held every year since the club started 66 years ago. The 3 races held on Liberation day are The Vega, The Beagle and The Liberation Day Trophy all with historic significance to the Liberation of the Channel Islands. First race of the day is the Vega named after the Red Cross Ship SS Vega that made several trips to Jersey with Red Cross parcels, then on 9th May 1945 HMS Beagle arrived at St. Helier harbour and later that day the island was liberated, hence the order of our races!

So if you haven’t checked your boat for a while its recommended that you do so soon. We hope you’re not in for a similar surprise, but let a committee member know if you find your boat has been occupied as we are monitoring the situation!

So please e-mail Dave Jones email@example.com as soon as possible if you can spare 3-4 hours over the weekend Saturday 30th April – Monday 1st May. Dave is organising the rota to ensure we have members at the stand over the weekend enthusing about sailing and what a great club we are!
If you can’t commit to support the stand, but after all make it to the show make sure to look us up and have a chat.
